Step by Step Towards Global Security
The
III Educational Mission to Vienna’s specialized international organizations and research centers concluded last week.
The program brought together Russian students and young professionals working on nuclear non-proliferation, disarmament, and the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
The visit was organized by the
Primakov Center in cooperation with the
Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the International Organizations in Vienna.
As part of the program, the delegation visited:
The Russian Permanent Mission to the International Organizations in Vienna and the
Embassy of Russia in Austria;
IAEA and the Agency’s analytical laboratories in Seibersdorf;
The CTBTO Preparatory Commission;
The UN Office for Disarmament Affairs;
The UN Office for Outer Space Affairs;
The Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation and Open Nuclear Network.
Between serious discussions, the participants also managed to find sparks of inspiration: in the streets of Vienna, the taste of the legendary Sacher cake, and the famous Belvedere museum,
which showcases Gustav Klimt’s most celebrated work, The Kiss.
