syg.ma together with Chto Delat Emergency Project Room starts a new series of reading and discussion meetings — the first one is going to happen already this friday!
Politische Poetik: Berlin Sessions responds to a growing need within the migrant communities in Europe: a shared political space for reading, discussion, and collective reflection.
We are going to take texts published on syg.ma as starting points for live conversations with authors, invited respondents, and audiences. Each session is going to turn texts into the basis for deeper exchange, helping build a stronger culture of dialogue and political imagination.
Meetings take place in hybrid format — both in person in Berlin and via livestream on our YouTube channel.
The first session begins with a dialogue published on syg.ma between independent researcher and activist Marika Semenenko and syg.ma editor and artist Anya Mikheyeva. The conversation explores the figure of the precarious worker, the role of theory in our lives, and political mobilization.
Marika and Anna will be joined by Dr. Ekaterina Zibrova, whose perspective will add a critical review of the ideas shared in the text. Using it as a starting point, together we will ask: what forms of meaningful action and thought remain possible under pressure, instability, and political repression?

Marika Semenenko is an Yerevan-based independent researcher and activist working on questions of decolonial political subjectivity, collective organization, and alternative knowledge production. She also volunteers as a content contributor for the independent media initiative From the Republics.
Dr. Ekaterina Zibrova is a research associate at the Wits Centre for Diversity Studies, University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, SA.

Anna Mikheeva is a Berlin-based cultural worker: artist, filmmaker, syg.ma editor. Her practice works across moving image, text, installation, and publishing, engaging with topics of political memory, bureaucratic language, and collectivity.
