𝐈𝐧 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐀𝐦𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐬𝐦𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐥, 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝟓 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝟕.𝟎𝟓𝟎 𝐤𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐧.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused were in contact with a #Pakistan-based smuggler and acting under his instructions for further distribution of drugs in Punjab.

Two separate FIRs have been registered under the NDPS Act at PS Chheharta and PS Cantonment, #Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages of this drug smuggling network.
