ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਪਾਰੋਂ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਗਿਰੋਹ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ 5 ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ 7.050 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।

In a major breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police dismantles a cross-border & MP-based illegal arms supply module, apprehends three accused, and recovers six pistols (one PX5 .30 bore, three .32 bore & two .30 bore) along with seven live cartridges.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were procuring illegal weapons from #MadhyaPradesh and were in contact with #Pakistan-based smugglers via social media, facilitating cross-border arms smuggling and supplying weapons to criminal elements across #Punjab.

An FIR has been registered at PS Civil Lines, Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages and dismantle the entire network.
