Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were acting as local handlers of foreign-based gangsters, involved in drug trafficking and supply of illegal weapons.

An FIR has been registered at PS Garhshankar, Hoshiarpur. Further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages and dismantle the entire network.
