𝐈𝐧 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡, 𝐀𝐦𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐬𝐦𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞, 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐬.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were in contact with #Pakistan-based smugglers through social media platforms, facilitating the smuggling of illegal arms and supplying them to criminal elements. The consignments were retrieved and further supplied to criminal elements across #Punjab.

An FIR has been registered at PS Cantonment, #Amritsar under relevant provisions of the Arms Act. Further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages and dismantle the entire network.
