𝐈𝐧 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡, 𝐀𝐦𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐬𝐦𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞, 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝟎𝟕 𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐬, 𝟏𝟐 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were in contact with #Pakistan-based smugglers through social media platforms, facilitating the smuggling of illegal arms into #India in the border areas of Attari sector. The consignments were retrieved from pre-designated locations and supplied further to local criminal networks across #Punjab.

An FIR has been registered at PS Chheharta, #Amritsar under relevant provisions of the Arms Act. Further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages and dismantle the entire smuggling network.
