In a major breakthrough, Anti-Gangster Task Force (#AGTF) Punjab, in a joint operation with Chandigarh Police, apprehends main shooter Jaspreet Singh @ Jas in connection with the firing incident on student leader Jashanpreet Singh Jawanda at Punjab University, #Chandigarh on 17.03.2026.

The accused was arrested on Amloh–Patran road after a brief exchange of fire, during which he sustained injuries and was immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigation reveals that the attack was carried out at the behest of Doni Bal/Bambiha group. Further investigation is underway to establish backward and forward linkages.
