Vienna Educational Mission | Day Three

The third day of the program took place in Seibersdorf — one of the main scientific hubs of global nuclear diplomacy. Here, at the intersection of technology and international cooperation, operate key IAEA laboratories and the CTBTO Technology Support and Training Centre.

CTBTO Technology Support and Training Centre (TeST Centre)

The Centre serves as a platform for training specialists and practicing the technical aspects of nuclear test verification.

During the visit, Oleg Rozhkov, Director of the On-Site Inspection (OSI) Division, briefed participants on the specifics of inspections conducted under the CTBT framework.

IAEA Analytical Laboratories

The IAEA Analytical Laboratories in Seibersdorf are one of the leading scientific centers providing the technical backbone of the Agency’s work. They conduct research aimed at strengthening non-proliferation guarantees and developing nuclear science and peaceful nuclear technologies.
