Why founders should move to Silicon Valley?

In 2 years here, I've raised $18M+, got into a16z speedrun, built the # 1 AI mobile app builder in the world Rork, and we're outgrowing Lovable and Bolt - both of which raised 10x more than us.

Before moving to Silicon Valley I'd been building startups for six years. Same ideas, roughly similar execution, dramatically different results. The big variable wasn't the product. It was being in the one place where the people around you have already done what you're trying to do.

1// When you build somewhere else, your ceiling is invisible.

You don't know what fast actually looks like, or whether the thing you're building would even register in a room full of people who've seen everything. In SF that calibration happens immediately, whether you want it or not. The standard is visible, and the people setting it are at the same dinners as you.

2// The second thing is harder to describe but more important.

Paul Graham talks about it in a recent Y Combinator talk - the serendipitous meetings that end up changing the course of everything. I met my co-founder Levan at an SF hackathon. That one unplanned event is why Rork exists. You can't manufacture those meetings remotely, and you can't replicate the density that makes them happen.
