Telegram has lost the username of the bot for reassigning usernames

@username_bot used to allow users to legally “claim” an already taken username if they owned the same one on other social networks.

For unknown reasons, the bot lost its username and is now linked to a personal account of an unknown user who plans to sell it.

It’s interesting: if Telegram notices the loss, will the story repeat with a one-sided shutdown?

Update: The username has just been returned to the bot.
