?? On September 15–19, students from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) took part in the East Asia Summit Model (#AFMAM EAS 2025), hosted at the ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta ????.

???The Russian delegation ???? to AFMAM EAS 2025 was represented by Mr. Denis Zhuchkov, a second-year master's student in the "Political Economy of the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership" master's programme, and Ms. Anastasia Denisova, a third-year student at the MGIMO School of International Relations majoring in "Diplomacy and Foreign Countries' Policy". Their participation was supported by the ASEAN Centre at MGIMO @aseancentremgimo.

???Delegates were selected through a special competition open to youth from all East Asia Summit participating countries. During the event, they simulated real EAS meeting procedures, acting as national delegations.

???The main goal was to adopt a joint Leaders’ Statement and propose projects addressing key agenda items. Discussions focused on offshore renewable energy, disaster management, marine debris, and environmental pollution.

???According to the rules of the Model, delegates were not allowed to represent their home countries. Instead, participants from different nations were grouped into mixed delegations representing other EAS participating countries.
