post from the official Notcoin Twitter account unexpectedly hit me hard and made me think about something simple:
why does this channel even exist?
I caught myself remembering how it all started.
That original idea.
The exact day I created this channel.
On a crude oil tanker, in my cabin after another watch.
Back when I had just started getting into crypto and was blown away by how interesting it all was.
I remember that rush of emotions and adrenaline from discovering something
new.
That realization that my world isn’t limited to working at sea - that I can and want to move forward.
I don’t know if that was the exact message behind
NOT’s post,
but it made me ask myself:
am I creating the right content now?
It’s hard to answer.
And honestly, it’s probably more no than yes.
I can’t say I completely abandoned the original idea.
But somewhere along the way… I definitely got lost.
Lost between news, trend algorithms, and trying to “fit audience demand”
i mean, like chasing narratives around Telegram gifts.
And that leads to the main question:
did I move away from the idea because I wanted to,
or because that’s how the audience responds?
Partly, I did lose some inspiration from what’s happening in TON.
The activity isn’t the same.
Fewer discussions.
That feeling of “life” has faded a bit.
But not completely.
I still believe the ecosystem can come back to life.
And maybe even
become stronger than before.
Because I remember 2024.
The peak of TON. Its ATH.
Back then, the ecosystem was alive.
Chats were full of debates, and comments were exploding with opinions.
That was real.
TonNewbie was never meant to be “
just another news channel”.
It was meant to be a place where:
newcomers get real guidance;
people are warned about scams;
noise like gambling, betting and “easy money schemes” is filtered out
A place with not just information,
but perspective.
Now the world has changed.
There’s too much content everywhere.
And the worst part - most of it is either copied or AI-generated.
Creators just don’t care enough anymore.
So after thinking about all this, here’s where I landed:
maybe the problem isn’t just the market
and not just the audience
maybe at some point, I started playing the wrong game
Honestly, I don’t fully know what to do with this yet.
The channel was created on January 9, 2022
and I’m still here - and I will remain its author.
Life hasn’t been the easiest lately,
and it’s not the best time for motivation or self-improvement.
But I give my word - to myself and to you - I’ll keep trying ;)
