RAGE QUIT ��‍♂️

Rage Quit is a mechanism that allows a DAO member to leave the organization and withdraw their share of the treasury

It’s used in DAOs where members hold “shares” (share tokens) that represent their portion of the collective budget. If you disagree with a decision or simply no longer want to participate, you can initiate a Rage Quit and receive your share of the assets — proportional to your stake

Think of it as an insurance policy: no one becomes a hostage to decisions they don’t support — you can exit at any time

What’s required to Rage Quit:

1️⃣ Be a member of a DAO with fixed share tokens
2️⃣ Not be actively participating in an ongoing vote (usually, Rage Quit is only allowed before or after a vote)
3️⃣ Submit the command — and your share of the treasury is automatically transferred to you. After that, you’re no longer part of the DAO’s governance

Why it matters:

— Gives new members confidence — you can always leave with what you brought in
— Protects the minority from majority dominance
— Encourages honesty: no one wants to lose contributors (and funds) over toxic decisions
