The establishment of a Special Tribunal to investigate the crime of aggression against Ukraine is drawing closer.

Austria has officially joined the relevant international agreement.
Thus, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the number of participating states has increased to 21, 20 of which are members of the Council of Europe. Iceland, Poland, and Sweden have recently acceded to the agreement.

In mid-May, in Chișinău, the Council of Europe is expected to take the next step towards launching the Special Tribunal by concluding an agreement on its Steering Committee.
