Leaders of European countries have appealed to the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission regarding the threat posed by russian military personnel.

This was announced by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda: “We believe that one of the most serious and long-term risks is the potential movement of former and current russian military personnel into the Schengen area.”

He emphasised the need for urgent, decisive and coordinated action at European Union level to prevent these risks and strengthen the security of the European area.
