Estonia became the first country to officially join the Steering Committee of the Special Tribunal on russia's Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.

Deputy Speaker Olena Kondratiuk personally thanked Estonian Parliament Speaker Lauri Hussar and the Estonian Parliament for the historic decision taken on 11 February to ratify the Council of Europe's partial agreement on the establishment of the Steering Committee of the Special Tribunal.

"Ukraine hopes that Estonia's leadership and example will encourage other EU countries to ratify the relevant agreements promptly. I will discuss this during my planned meetings with the leadership of the Finnish and Latvian parliaments," Olena Kondratiuk emphasised.
