MEPs called for continued military, industrial and political support for Kyiv, the provision of security guarantees and the use of frozen russian assets for the reconstruction of Ukraine in accordance with international law.

The European Parliament has adopted a resolution on the EU's strategic defence and the development of partnerships in the field of security and defence, in which Ukraine is recognised as a priority strategic partner.

«Ukrainians not only defend the EU, but have also created the most battle-hardened, effective and innovative military force in Europe. Deepening our partnership with Ukraine, particularly in the defence industry and innovation, is in the EU's fundamental interests,» said rapporteur Michał Szczerba after the vote.
