The return of Ukrainian children abducted by russia was discussed by Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Riley Barnes, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
The meeting took place during Ruslan Stefanchuk's working visit to Washington.
During talks with members of the Senate Ukrainian Caucus, sanctions were discussed as a key tool for putting pressure on russia. The parties paid particular attention to security guarantees for Ukraine.
In addition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada took part in a discussion organised by the Atlantic Council. "Ukraine wants peace more than anyone else. But this peace must be fair and lasting — with respect for our sovereignty, territorial integrity and right to self-defence," Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasised.
