Strengthening support for Ukraine, ending russian aggression and achieving a just and lasting peace — these issues were discussed by Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk during a meeting in Washington with US House Speaker Mike Johnson.
They discussed effective tools that could change the course of the war. During talks with US Senate Budget Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham and Senator Richard Blumenthal, Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed the content of sanctions, ways to implement them, and timeframes.
Cold, darkness and silence without light are what russia is using as weapons today. Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasised this during the 20th Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast: "The destruction of energy infrastructure during extreme cold spells is deliberate terror against the civilian population, not military tactics. We see a direct historical parallel with the Holodomor: then and now, the method is the same — destruction through deprivation of basic living conditions," he stressed.
