Strengthening military capabilities and protecting energy infrastructure were key topics of discussion during the dialogue that First Deputy Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko continued in the Verkhovna Rada with a delegation of representatives from the European Parliament's Committee on Defence and Security. The parties had previously held substantive talks in Brussels.

Oleksandr Korniienko emphasised that Ukraine is grateful to the European Parliament for its clear and unwavering support for a just and lasting peace. According to him, through joint efforts with European and international partners, Ukraine will be able to achieve peace and ensure that the russian aggressor is held accountable for its crimes.
