The €75 million winter aid package from Germany is an extremely timely decision. This was emphasised by First Deputy Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko during a meeting with members of the German-Ukrainian parliamentary group of the German Bundestag.

In recent weeks, russia has been carrying out unprecedented attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Oleksandr Korniienko stressed the importance of continued support from Germany, in particular with regard to the provision of equipment for the rapid repair of damage.

"We highly appreciate the consistent and principled position of the German-Ukrainian parliamentary friendship group and its active support for Ukraine's interests in the Bundestag," Oleksandr Korniienko stressed.
