The European Commission has announced €145 million in emergency aid for Ukraine. The funds will be used for humanitarian support during the cold season.

«Millions of Ukrainians are forced to endure sub-zero temperatures without electricity or heating, deprived of the basic means of survival. That is why a new humanitarian aid package and the supply of an additional 947 generators have been provided. Our solidarity with Ukraine is not just slogans, but reliable and consistent actions that clearly meet the needs,» emphasised Hadja Lahbib, Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management

This week, the EU has already allocated 447 generators to Ukraine to restore power to critical infrastructure.
