— The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has decided to impose an additional 12.5% tariff on Brazil, alleging the importation of goods produced through
FORCED LABOR, following the conclusion of another Section 301 investigation.
All 60 countries, including Brazil, that are being targeted by the 12.5% forced-labor tariff are trade partners of the United States.
As with the previous investigation, the tariff will not take effect immediately. A public hearing is scheduled to take place on July 7.
