— In a hearing taking place in the U.S. Congress, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has placed Brazil on a list of countries that are not "friendly" to the U.S., alongside Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.
Rubio highlighted that Brazil is in the midst of an "electoral cycle"
"Except Nicaragua, except Cuba, except Venezuela, which still has challenges, and of course, Brazil, although they are in the middle of an election cycle, and to some extent, the current government of Colombia as well, but, in general, now it is a region full of American allies."
