Who is keeping the ecosystem alive?

This post is a follow-up to our Friday piece on the decentralized internet on TON. If you have not read it yet, we recommend checking it out first.

If you open the app directory on ton.app, you will quickly notice that TON has lost quite a few projects over the years. Of course, every network goes through new app launches, failed experiments, and sudden exits — that is a natural part of any ecosystem. But in some areas, it is hard not to notice how much smaller TON has become.

Distributed storage is a good example. In the previous post, we mentioned services that still let users upload files to TON Storage. Surprisingly, they are among the few that still work. At least several other services with similar functionality have shut down over the past few years.

Against this backdrop, Resistor stands out — someone we have covered more than once on the channel. His website, resistance.dog, brings together the products he has built recently: Tonnet Browser, Teleton, x402-ton, a Cocoon client, plugins for AI agents, ZK protocols, and other tools for TON. All of it is free and open-source.

We know for sure that Resistor is not the only one still actively building on TON. If you are working on a product in the ecosystem right now, or know someone we should cover, write in the comments. We will turn it into a separate post.
