Nifty 50 closed at 23,306 — up 393 points , Nifty Realty led sectoral gains, up 2.69%. Metals also shone brightly through the session with broad-based buying. Market breadth was healthy — a positive sign after weeks of one-sided declines.
FII on March 25: sold ₹1,805 Cr — a significant moderation from the earlier daily levels. GIFT Nifty signals a red start for equities this morning approx. 130 points. Vix levels continue to be elevated.

Nifty 50
The index had two good sessions — bouncing from 22,500 back to 23,306 — a sharp 800 point recovery. Well we believe of the saying - Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
Given the oversold setup there was a meaningfull recovery – but is it a reversal yet ? We still trade below the key short term moving averages. The Stochastics and the RSI does have some base formation and slight signs of positive divergence – we still don’t have a confirmation yet though. The 23300 remains as a resistance zone – beyond which the index can test 23850.
Specific stocks in the broader markets like in Pharma and metal space are positively placed. 23050 remains as the support.

Nifty Bank
Bank Nifty closed at 53,708 on Wednesday — up a strong 2.10% — two consecutive recovery sessions , formed a small island reversal pattern. We still do not have any confirmation of the pattern , and prices continue to trend down. Prices needs to cross and close above the resiustances for a meaningful rally. Todays closing is crucial as we have the weekly closing.

Conclusion

Selective stocks give some signs of reversal. One can screen stocks – and participate with reduced capital allocation. Stay light, stay defensive, and let the chart give a clear signal before going aggressive.
