Inauguration (Lokarpan) of Sanskrit Bharati’s National Headquarters “Pranavah”
New Delhi | On the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya
Samskrit Bharati marked a historic milestone with the grand inauguration (Lokarpan) of its newly constructed National Headquarters, “Pranavah”, located at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg near ITO, New Delhi. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The distinguished gathering also included Hon’ble Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Prof. Ramesh Kumar Pandey (Rashtriya Adhyaksh, Sanskrit Bharati), Shree. Suresh Soni and Praveenkant, Present of Samskritbharati Trust, Delhi along with several dignitaries, scholars and well-wishers.
The ceremony commenced with a traditional Pooja and Havan, invoking divine blessings for the institution’s future endeavors. This was followed by the formal unveiling of the Sanskrit Bharati emblem and the inauguration of the newly constructed building “Pranavah”.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat elaborated on the profound meaning of “Pranavah”, symbolizing the sacred sound Om, which represents the essence of universal consciousness. He emphasized the significance of inaugurating the building on Akshaya Tritiya, a day symbolizing eternal prosperity and auspicious beginnings. He highlighted that this new headquarters will serve as a pivotal center for accelerating Sanskrit teaching and learning, contributing not only to the cultural and intellectual resurgence of Bharat but also to the global promotion of Samskrit.
He further remarked that Samskrit is not merely a language, but a carrier of samskara (values) and a refined way of life, essential for shaping a harmonious and enlightened society.
The event also featured a video message of blessings and congratulations from the revered Sringeri Sharada Peetham, along with a congratulatory message from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanskrit Bharati’s Rashtriya Sangathan Mantri Jayaprakash Gautam reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to its vision of promoting Sanskrit across the nation. He stated that Sanskrit Bharati aims to teach Sanskrit to at least 10% of India’s population in the near future, as the organization approaches 50 years of its inception.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Shree. Praveen Kant (President of Samskrit Bharati Trust, Delhi) who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and supporters for making the event a grand success.
