Purple Fest 2026: Celebrated at the President’s Estate
Recently, Rashtrapati Bhavan hosted “Purple Fest” to celebrate the achievements, talent and aspirations of Divyangjan. On 13th March 2026, Amrit Udyan was exclusively open for Divyangjan (people with disabilities), wherein over 8,000 of them visited. Various organisations working with divyangjan have put up stalls of games and learning activities for fun. The individuals participated in the activities throughout the day. In the evening, a “Cultural program” was held at the Open Air Theatre in the President's Estate. Incredible cultural performances were given by people with Disability showcasing their talent. The event was witnessed by President Smt. Droupadi Murmu. During the occasion, the President highlighted that India's culture and civilisation include belief in harmony, inclusivity, and sensitivity.
