Ukraine has signed an international agreement with China, officially opening the Chinese market to Ukrainian wheat flour exports.

The parties signed a protocol on inspection, phytosanitary, and sanitary requirements for wheat flour exported from Ukraine to China. The document establishes clear production rules, supply chain transparency, and mechanisms for cooperation between the two countries.

For Ukrainian producers, this means:

🔹 access to one of the world’s largest markets;

🔹 new opportunities for processing development;

🔹 increased exports of value-added products;

🔹 strengthening Ukraine’s position as a reliable trade partner.

"It is important that this is not only about expanding export geography, but also about a qualitative transformation - a shift from a raw materials model to exporting finished products," Serhii Tkachuk, head of Ukraine’s State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, said.
