Procedure for recognition of documents on academic degrees obtained in foreign countries has been established

By a Government Resolution (No. 161, dated April 9, 2026), the administrative regulation for the provision of the public service on recognition of documents on academic degrees obtained in foreign countries has been approved.

🔰 Documents on academic degrees issued to applicants by foreign attestation bodies or relevant higher education institutions in accordance with the legislation of foreign states shall be recognised and nostrified by the authorized body, either after expert examination or directly without scientific examination.

📝 To use the public service, the applicant shall apply to public service centers and register on the Single Interactive State Services Portal (my.gov.uz).

📚 The following documents shall be attached to the application:

▪️ a notarized copy of the document on the academic degree;
▪️ a copy of the dissertation.

💸 A fee in the amount of 1 base calculation amount shall be charged for the provision of the public service.

⏳ After confirmation of the authenticity of the document, it shall undergo scientific examination within 20 days.

📁 Based on the results, a certificate of nostrification shall be issued in case of a positive conclusion, or a negative conclusion shall be provided.

✅ Certificates generated as a result of the public service shall be stored in the electronic document repository.
