The status of national natural heritage objects of Uzbekistan has been defined

By the Government Resolution (No. 106, March 16, 2026), the Regulation “On national natural heritage objects of Uzbekistan” was approved.

🔰 The Regulation defines the status, types, procedure for forming the list, as well as the procedure for carrying out construction activities within the territories of national natural heritage objects of Uzbekistan.

🏛 The National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change is designated as the authorized body in this field.

📝 According to the Regulation, national natural heritage objects of Uzbekistan are divided into the following types:

▫️ biological;
▫️ geological;
▫️ hydrological;
▫️ paleontological.

⏭️ A proposer submits proposals on including a natural object in the list of national natural heritage objects of Uzbekistan to the territorial division of the authorized body.

📁 The proposal shall be accompanied by:

▪️ information about the natural object;
▪️ its geolocation;
▪️ photo and video materials.

⏳ The proposal is reviewed within 15 working days.

🗒 The territorial division conducts an on-site assessment to verify compliance of the natural object with the established requirements and prepares a report based on the results.

✅ The authorized body reviews the documents submitted by the territorial division within 5 working days and includes the natural object in the list of national natural heritage objects of Uzbekistan on the basis of its order.
