The requirement for pre-shift medical examinations for air traffic controllers has been canceled

The Ministry of Justice has state-registered amendments and additions to the Aviation Rules for flights of civil and experimental aviation in the airspace of the Republic of Uzbekistan (AR RU-91) (Registration No. 1723-13, March 6, 2026).

⛔️ In accordance with the Convention on International Civil Aviation, this departmental document abolishes the requirement for air traffic controllers (ATCs) to undergo a mandatory daily pre-shift medical examination.

✅ Based on the requirements of the Convention on International Civil Aviation and because they have lost their relevance, a number of rules (for example, permission to descend from the transition level if the lower cloud base height is not below the minimum, etc.) are being removed.

🔗 Based on their equipment, aircraft are now classified into primary aircraft and re-equipped aircraft.
