Subsidies will be allocated to silkworm breeders

The Presidential Resolution (No. PQ–87, 06.03.2026) “On additional measures to develop the silkworm breeding sector based on a new system and strengthen the fodder base” was adopted.

🔰 According to the Resolution, from April 1, 2026:

💸 A subsidy in the amount of 35 percent of the funds actually paid by the silkworm cluster will be allocated to silkworm breeders (silkworm rearers and home-based workers) based on the collective decision of the "mahalla seven";

💰 A one-time subsidy of 4 million UZS will be allocated to poor families (to one member of the family only once) who are members of silkworm cooperatives established on land plots under the balance of the Agency for Increasing Forest and Green Areas and Combating Desertification (Forest Agency);

🗒 Interest-free loans for up to 3 years in an amount up to 50 times the BCA (Base Calculating Amount) will be provided to home-based workers for the purchase of tools and equipment necessary for silkworm care;

✅ Compensation of 50 percent of the monthly wage (but not exceeding 2 times the minimum wage) will be provided to seed enterprises for each seasonal worker involved in the preparation of silkworm seeds.
