Accommodation costs for certain categories of students in student dormitories will be reimbursed

By Government Resolution No. 32 dated 28 January 2026, the Regulation “On the procedure for reimbursing accommodation costs of certain categories of students residing in student dormitories of state higher education institutions” was approved.

✅ According to the Regulation, accommodation expenses shall be reimbursed from the State Budget for students of state higher education institutions studying only in the full-time form of education, regardless of whether they study on the basis of a state grant or tuition fee contract.

⌛️ Reimbursement of a student’s accommodation costs in student dormitories of state higher education institutions shall remain valid for 12 months starting from the date when the student’s family is included in the Social Register under the category of a “family living below the poverty line.”

📝 Students shall be admitted to student dormitories of state higher education institutions on a priority basis and without waiting in line.

🗒 In this regard, the applicant shall submit an application addressed to the Rector (Director of the branch) of the higher education institution where they study by the 7th day of the month.

⏭️ The applicant may also independently submit an application to the Commission through kontrakt.edu.uz.

✔️ The application shall be submitted once per academic year.

📁 Deputy Deans (responsible staff) for youth affairs of faculties shall, within one day, consolidate electronically submitted applications and submit them to the Commission in accordance with the установленный procedure.

📑 Applications submitted by responsible staff shall be reviewed by the Commission within one day, and the relevant decision shall be adopted.
