Former Deputy Interior Minister Bekmurod Abdullaev released on bail

Bekmurod Abdullaev, the former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs who was detained on suspicion of embezzling large amounts of budget funds, has been released from custody. Sources told Kun.uz that the preventive measure of detention was changed to bail after Abdullaev compensated for the alleged damages by paying over UZS 200 billion in cash.
