Chevrolet’s market share in Uzbekistan drops below 80 percent as competitors gain ground

The automotive industry in Uzbekistan recorded a significant expansion during the first quarter of 2026, with total sales reaching 91,088 vehicles. According to data provided by Uzavtosanoat JSC, this represents a 21% increase compared to the same period last year, equivalent to an additional 15,735 units sold. While the overall market is growing, the landscape is shifting as international brands and electric vehicle manufacturers begin to challenge the long–standing dominance of the market leader.
