Uzbekistan to tighten product safety rules and boost market oversight

Uzbekistan is set to strengthen business accountability and increase the transparency of accreditation processes following the first reading of two draft laws by the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis. The proposed legislation, titled "On General Product Safety" and a secondary bill on technical regulation, aims to align the nation’s safety standards with international benchmarks.
