Ritu Yadav, the new head of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in Bamyan province, has met and held discussions with Gol Haidar Shafaq, the Taliban governor in Bamyan.

The Taliban’s press office in Bamyan reported on Monday, April 20, 2026, that during this meeting, the two sides discussed the provision of healthcare services and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

According to the report, Ritu Yadav emphasized the continuation of free healthcare services in Bamyan, stating that these services should be delivered with necessary coordination.
