Sources say that the implementation of repressive and discriminatory Taliban policies at Balkh National Television has forced professional and experienced staff to leave their jobs, while women have been completely deprived of employment. The sources add that continuous Taliban interference in dress codes, program content, broadcast language, and the enforcement of strict religious policies has reduced staff motivation and turned the television station into a direct propaganda platform for Taliban policies.

Sources within the Balkh National Radio and Television Directorate, which is under Taliban control, say that the implementation of discriminatory policies, the ban on showing images of living beings, and interference in all professional and personal affairs of employees have led a large number of experienced and professional staff of the media outlet to resign.

The sources say that local Taliban officials, in addition to lacking knowledge and work experience, do not trust professional and experienced employees and interfere in all their work matters.
