The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) says that more than four million people in Afghanistan will need emergency shelter this year.

On Monday, April 20, the agency also said that these people are in urgent need of non-food assistance as well.

It added: “At the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, the world is discussing housing, but for Afghan families, the need is urgent.”
