Chinese media have reported that interest in learning the Chinese language among young people in the eastern provinces of Afghanistan has increased.

The Xinhua News Agency reported on Sunday, April 19, that in addition to Kabul, Chinese language courses at Nangarhar University have attracted more students.

According to the report, young people are learning Chinese mainly due to job opportunities and scholarship programs.
