Foreign ministers of 15 countries from Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, in a joint statement, have described Israel’s appointment of a diplomatic representative for “Somaliland” as a violation of Somalia’s sovereignty and have strongly condemned it.

In the statement, published on Saturday, April 18, the move was described as a “clear violation” of the sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia and a threat to the country’s unity and territorial integrity.

The foreign ministers of these countries emphasized that all unilateral actions that undermine the sovereignty of states are unacceptable, and they firmly support Somalia’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
