Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that Western countries have not abandoned their plans to seize the resources of Ukraine and Russia and expand their influence in various regions of the world.
Zakharova said on Saturday, April 18, in an interview with TASS that the West intends to gain control over Ukraine’s resources, Russia’s oil and gas, as well as the resources of Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson added that this approach is linked to “political revenge,” a concept she said refers to an attempt to redesign the global order and divide the world’s resources in favor of the West.
