Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, strongly condemned the attack on Saturday against the UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and called for an immediate halt to such attacks.

Guterres wrote on the X platform on Saturday, April 18, that in the attack, a French peacekeeper was killed and three others were injured.
