President von der Leyen's visit to Kyiv on 24.02.2024

The President attended the ceremony for the 2nd anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against, and later held a joint press conference with President Zelenskyy.

President von der Leyen also met with Prime Minister Shmyhal to discuss our joint work on the defence industry, Ukrainian exports and issues at the land border, as well as next steps on the €50 billion Ukraine Facility, from which the 1st payment of €4.5 bn will come in March.

At the Wall of Remembrance, the President paid her respects to the Ukrainians who made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our values.
