The Commission welcomes the political agreement reached today between the European Parliament and the Council to set up the Ukraine Facility.

The new Ukraine Facility will provide stable and sustainable financing to support Ukraine's recovery, reconstruction, and modernisation, including key reforms necessary on its EU accession track.

The overall amount of the Facility for the period of 2024-2027 is €50 billion.

This amount is composed of €17 billion in grants and €33 billion in loans.

It will help Ukraine keep its administration running, pay salaries, pensions, and provide basic public services, as it continues to defend itself against Russia's aggression.
