Oman LNG has signed an agreement with Kanadevia Corporation to conduct a Pre-FEED for a methanation pilot plant and a Concept Study for a future commercial-scale e-methane facility. The project supports Oman’s Vision 2040 and aims to help achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 using carbon capture and utilization (CCU) and green hydrogen technologies.

The pilot plant will produce 1,200 normal cubic meters of e-methane per hour, while the planned full-scale facility aims for 18,000. The agreement includes technical, commercial, and design studies to prepare for future EPC work.
