China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation - (CPECC) ���� is hiring
an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Cost Control Engineer to join the team on a major EPC Oil & Gas project in the UAE����.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project cost activities, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and control in line with budgetary and contractual requirements.
Job Title: Senior Cost Control Engineer
Location: United Arab Emirates (Site-based & Project Office)
Industry: Oil & Gas – EPC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
-Develop, implement, and maintain robust cost control systems, procedures, and practices across all project phases.
-Prepare and review project cost estimates, forecasts, and budgets.
Monitor project expenditures, analyze variances, and identify trends or areas requiring corrective action.
-Collaborate with planning, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on cost-related issues.
-Generate monthly cost reports, including earned value analysis (EVA), budget variance, and cash flow forecasts.
-Support change management processes, including cost impact assessments and claims preparation.
-Assist in the preparation of internal and client financial reports.
-Ensure cost control processes comply with company and client policies and industry standards.
-Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
-Support PCM and deliver work as assigned.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
-Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years in cost control within EPC projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
-Proven track record on large-scale projects in the Middle East, preferably in the UAE.
-Strong knowledge of cost control principles, forecasting, budgeting, and cost reporting.
-Proficient in cost control software (e.g., Primavera P6, EcoSys, or similar tools).
-Advanced skills in MS Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and financial analysis.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills.
-Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
-Familiarity with international cost control and project management standards (e.g., AACEI, PMI).
Preferred Qualifications:
-PMP or CCP (Certified Cost Professional) certification.
-Previous experience with ADNOC or similar clients.
-Fluent in English
