The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, MHA has issued an advisory warning citizens about sophisticated Android malware known as “Android God Mode”, which misuses Accessibility permissions to gain unauthorized control over devices.

These malicious apps often impersonate trusted services such as banking, government and utility platforms & trick users into installing them through links, APK files or fake applications.

Such malware can enable attackers to access sensitive personal and financial information without the user’s knowledge, leading to serious cyber fraud risks.

•Installing apps only from official app stores
•Avoiding apps received via links, WhatsApp or unknown sources
•Not granting Accessibility permissions to suspicious apps
•Regularly reviewing and removing unnecessary app permissions
